Programs Overview / Courses Offered
The programs follow the curriculum of Anna University,
which upgrades the curriculum dynamically. All the
programs are conducted on semester basis. The pedagogy
focuses on classroom lectures, guest lectures,
self-learning, assignments, projects, practical
sessions, periodical evaluation and feedback.
The B.E. / B.Tech. programs are of 7 semesters (4 year)
duration. The M.E. & MBA programs are of 4 semesters (2
years) duration. The MCA program is of 6 semester (3
year) duration. The evaluation has internal assessment
by the institution for 20 marks and University
examination for 80 marks for each subject. Internal
tests are conducted periodically to assess the
performance continuously.

Academic Programs
Admission to all Bachelor’s degree programs is a pass in
HSC Examination with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry
as the subjects of study or any other equivalent
examination with requisite minimum marks in these for
various communities as prescribed by Government of Tamil
Nadu. Students with Diploma qualification are also
inducted into the degree program in the second year of
study.
Admission to all Master’s degree programs is through the
Anna University conducted TANCET or CAT or MAT. For MCA,
MBA programs, science and commerce graduates with
business mathematics are eligible.
Course Work
The course work consists of four year (eight semesters)
of study consisting of theory, laboratory, field visits,
summer training, seminars and project works.

Research Projects & Industry Linkage
During the entire study program eight semester of the
students should spend a minimum of sixty working days of
industry over two consecutive summers. They are also
required to submit a minor and major project during
their final year of study.Course progress monitoring is
done through internally assessed mid semester and
laboratory examinations conducted by the affiliating
Anna University. |
