The department of civil engineering has been started in the year 2007,It strives to propagate the secrets and wonders of construction technology through theory and practice to the students thereby mouldings them as future engineers who will in turn shape with the destiny of a nation. Laboratories with full equipment, facilitating the course of studies in the diploma programme are available. In-plant training and industrial visits are also arranged for the students. .

Laboratory

The Civil Engineering Lab is well equipped with Universal Testing Machine, Compression Testing Machine, Hardness Testing Machine, Tortion Testing Machine, Impact Testing Machine, Centrifugal Pump, Receprocating Pump, V notch and Rectangular notch, Orificemeter, Venturimeter, Dumpy level, Theodolite, Prismatic Compass, Plain table, Attrition Testing Machine, Abrasion Testing Machine, Aggregate Impact Testing Machine, Direct Shear Testing Machine, Slump Testing Machine, Compaction factor Testing Machine and all Environmental Engineering Lab equipments etc., The students are getting more practical knowledge by using the above machines.
 

Student Activities

Value added short-term courses are conducted during vacations and in the evenings of working days to enhance the hands-on training of the students

3D Modeling in Building Drawing
Industrial Visit is arranged three times per semester.
In-Plant Training is also arranged for one month at the end of the second year summer vacation.
One week Surveying Camp is arranged in the fourth semester out side the college campus.
Civil Engineering Association meeting is conducted two times per semester.
In our section library 120 books are available for the reference of staffs and students.
