TThe Department of Computer Technology was started in the year 2007.This department is committed to contribute significantly to Information Technology and continues to grow professionally with expertise and knowledge to compete with international levels of excellence. The effulgent students are trained to become eminent engineers and entrepreneurs with greater potentials on par with international standard. Our students are achievers of state ranks; they have presented some technical papers to international and national level conferences and seminars. In plant training in companies and industrial visits are mandatory.

Laboratories

There are three well-furnished computer centres and one hardware lab with high-configured Systems around 150. Individual Systems for the Students. Two Mbps leased line with Uninterrupted Internet Facility for both staff and students. The students are utilized the computer for their practical classes and also spent extra time for their projects.

Student Activities

Industrial visits are arranged to enrich the practical knowledge of the students.
In-plant training in various industries is mandatory to enhance workmanship.
Industrial training is given to the staff to explore the practical applications.
MOUs are established with industries and other organizations.

Computer Literacy Center is functioning in our department serves the community through training programmes. One year Certificate Course in Computer Application sponsored by TAHDCO is conducted for the SC/ST youth approved by DOTE. Student have participated in State Level Inter Polytechnic Science & Technology exhibition and State Level Inter-School Science & Technology exhibition with their innovative projects conducted by our institution jointly with Petroleum Conservation and Research Association and Tamil Nadu State Council for Science and Technology.Apart from the curriculum, our students are shining well in other fields such as Athletics, Indoor events, Cultural, Quiz, Essay & Elocution Competitions, etc by participating and winning prizes in the competitions organised by various institutions and organisations. Association meetings are organised twice in a month to develop the overall skills of the students. Paper presentations, Quiz programmes, debates etc are conducted for the students.
