Physics


Physics is a science which explores and explains nature and natural phenomenon. It is closely associated with Mathematics and Chemistry. Computer Science is an offspring of physics and it is based on Electronics, a branch of physics. The Department of Physics has well equipped laboratories and instrumentation centers that facilitate the students to conduct regular experiments based on the syllabus.

Chemistry

Chemistry deals with the materials that makes our universe. It is a vast field and it also branches off into diverse areas. Chemistry has very close affiliations with Biology and Physics. In today’s world Chemistry has major factor affecting the standard of living of the people and as a contributory factor to the country. The Department of Chemistry has well equipped laboratories and instrumentation centers that facilitate the students to conduct regular experiments based on syllabus. This department trains its students bearing in mind the professional scope of the subject.

Language Lab

A language lab has been set up to improve the communication skills of students. Students acquire proficiency in English by going through the self-learning software packages like Mastery of English & TOFEL. The lessons help the students take up the Competitive Examinations with confidence. Students can also develop their written and oral communication skills. Software on International English Language Testing System-IELTS is also available in the Lab.

Research Projects & Industry Linkage

During the entire eight semesters the students should spend a minimum of sixty working days of industry over two consecutive summers. They are also required to submit a minor and major project during their final year of study.
